Genetically modified foods

The development and use of biotechnology and gene technology methods for producing food are on the increase. Genetically modified means an organism that has been modified genetically e.g. a plant or bacteria (GMO). Genetically modified foods have been produced from genetically modified ingredients or they include them. The production of genetically modified foods is strictly regulated.
