Registered partnership
Same-sex couples can register their partnership at register offices. The ceremony does not require witnesses to be present. Register offices also carry out the investigation of impediments prior to registration. Registering a partnership has the same legal implications as getting married, unless otherwise provided by statute. A registered couple cannot adopt children together.
