Support for the family of the deceased

Bereavement, especially where it concerns a family member, is difficult. You may need help, for example, from different peer and support groups. The Church’s lay workers, priests and ministers can help you to come to terms with your loss and assist with the funeral arrangements and other practical matters.

Those who have lost a child in particular may need outside help. Practical guidance and advice may be available from certain associations to help you cope. They are places where you can share your experiences with others in the same situation. Several organisations also have a helpline.
