Religions and ethics

Under the Constitution, there is freedom of religion and conscience in Finland. There are nearly 300 religious communities in the country. The largest of these are the Finnish Evangelic-Lutheran church and the Finnish Orthodox church. Other religious communities referred to in the Act on Freedom of Religion are registered in the separate Register of Religious Associations.
