Media

Mass communications in Finland consist of electronic and printed media. The Finnish Broadcasting Company (YLE) is the public body responsible for mass communications on radio and TV. It is a public limited company.

A couple of hundred newspapers are published in Finland, including local papers and provincial papers with a wider readership.

The Council for Mass Media in Finland determines whether the media has adhered to good journalistic practices. Anyone who feels that these have been violated can make a complaint to the Council.
