Do the following

To whom and on what terms

You need a doctor's referral to access the Geriatric Outpatient Clinic. You can get a referral from a health centre, specialised health care or private doctor. Before the memory consultation, laboratory tests, brain imagining studies and questionnaires are carried out.

After a severe acute illness, memory tests are only carried out after the recovery period.

Active harmful alcohol use is usually a barrier to memory loss studies.

To access the service, book an appointment for initial memory tests at a health centre. If more detailed tests are needed, the doctor will refer you to the Geriatric Outpatient Clinic.

Your appointment at the clinic will be sent to you by mail, and the letter will include instructions for the tests that need to be done before the appointment (laboratory, X-ray) and a preliminary information form. It is a good idea to come to the appointment with a family member or friend. You should reserve 2 hours for the appointment.
