E-Authorisations make it easier to use pharmacy services on behalf of others

Your own proof of identity is now sufficient for collecting another person's prescription medicines from the pharmacy provided that you have received an e-Authorisation in the Suomi.fi service. This change will particularly help with the daily life of families with children and those taking care of their spouse’s affairs.

A separate e-services mandate code has now been specified for social welfare in Suomi.fi e-Authorizations. With the new mandate code, allowing an assignee to act on behalf of another party is easy. The mandate code specifies the matters in which the assignee can act on behalf of the assignor. The mandate code has been jointly specified by the National Institute for Health and Welfare and the Population Register Centre.

State employees take up skiing: If 100,000 citizens activate electronic messages from the authorities, the authorities promise to ski 10,000 kilometres

The Population Register Centre and the Finnish Tax Administration invite Finnish citizens to move to electronic communication with state authorities instead of paper mail. If 100,000 Finns activate the Suomi.fi Messages service by the end of February, Population Register Centre Director General Janne Viskari and Tax Administration Director General Markku Heikura, together with their colleagues, promise to clock up 10,000 kilometres on cross-country skis.

For the parliamentary elections in 2019, notifications of the right to vote may be accessed for the first time in electronic format instead of being sent in the post. To access your notification of the right to vote in the parliamentary elections, you must be using Suomi.fi Messages by 16.00 on 22 February 2019.
